Set Up the Client (Basic SLB)

1. Set up the clients' network interfaces if they are not already set up.
2. Establish a route entry to the VIP.

   client1% route add 10.10.10.1/24 192.0.0.100
   

   In this example, all client initiated traffic with a destination IP address of 10.10.10.1 will be forwarded to the gateway interface 192.0.0.100.
