Modifying Translation Collection Strings

To modify strings in a collection:

  1. Go to Customization > Translations > Manage Translations.

  2. On the Strings subtab, click the ellipsis (...) next to the string you want to edit.

  3. Click Edit.

  4. In the Edit String window, update this information for the string you want to change:

    • Source String — The translation string in the source language.

    • Key — The unique identifier that sets this source string apart from others in the collections.

    • Description — Enter a description for the source string. This helps translators understand the context for an accurate translation. It explains when, where, and why users see the source string in the app.

    Note:

    You can't change the string’s collection.

  5. Click Save.

Note:

Besides the Manage Translations UI, you can work with translation strings in SDF. In SDF, they "Key" is called "scriptid."
