Adding Strings to Translation Collections
You can add strings to a collection using the + button on the Collections subtab, or the Create New button on the Strings subtab.
To add strings to a collection from the Collections subtab:

Go to Customization > Translations > Manage Translations.

On the Collections subtab, find the collection you want to add a string to.

In the Strings column, click the + button.

In the New String window, add this information for the string you want to add:

Source String — The translation string in the source language.

Key — An identifier for the translation string. You can use this when working with Translation Collections in SuiteScript. The key can be up to 255 characters.
Note:When you create keys, follow these rules:

Begin with an underscore or a letter (uppercase or lowercase).

Use only underscores, letters, and numbers.

Collection — The collection you want to add the string to.

Description — Enter a description for the source string. This helps translators understand the context so they can provide an accurate translation. It explains when, where, and why users see the string in the app.

Translation — Enter a translation for the source string in the listed languages. You can add a string without translations, and add them later after you them from translators.

Click Save.
To add strings to a collection from the Strings subtab:

Go to Customization > Translations > Manage Translations.

On the Strings subtab, click Create New.

In the New string window, add the this information for the string you want to add:

Source String — The translation string in the source language.

Collection — The collection to which you want to add the string.

Description — Enter a description for the source string. This description helps translators understand the context of the term to provide an accurate translation. The source string’s description is the when, where, and why users see the string in the application.

Translation — Enter a translation for the source string in the languages listed. You can add a string without adding translations. Translations can be added after they have been received from translators.

Click Save.
In addition to the Manage Translations UI, you can also work with translation strings through SDF. In SDF, ”Key”, the identifier, is referred to as ”scriptid”.
