Enabling Withheld Tax Amounts Splitting Between Installments
To access the Brazil Localization SuiteApp documentation in Brazilian Portuguese (Português do Brasil), see Brazil Localization.
With Brazil Localization, you can choose how NetSuite handles tax amounts withheld on transactions:
-
Add all withheld amounts on the first installment
-
Split withheld amounts evenly between all installments
If the withheld tax amount in a transaction is the same as or higher than the first installment's amount,NetSuite ignores this setting. In such cases, the system splits the tax amount between all installments equally.
To enable withheld tax amount splitting between installments:
-
Go to Setup > Tax > Tax Types.
-
Click Edit next to the tax type record you want.
-
To split withheld tax amounts evenly between all installments, check the Split Tax Amounts Between Installments box.
If you don't check the box, NetSuite adds the withheld amounts to the first installment.
-
Click Save.
