Report Analytics

Add an Analytics section to the Reports menu, view the list of resources you can publish to BI Connector in one place, and go to your Oracle Analytics Cloud account.

The Analytics section includes the following:

• A page listing the resources that you can publish to the BI Connector.

  • The Reports tab shows the reports that you can publish to the BI Connector:

    Note:

    Published report data is a snapshot of your data at the time of publication. You need to refresh your published reports to show the latest data.

    • All reports listed in Reports > My Reports.

    • Reports listed in Reports > Shared reports that have been published with the relevant data access privileges by the report's owner.

  • The Lists tab shows the custom list layouts that you can publish as a public resource to the BI Connector.

    Note:

    Published list data is updated in real-time. The information available from a published list in the BI connector feature is the same as the information you see when accessing the list in SuiteProjects Pro at all time.

    The Lists tab includes:

    • Public custom list layouts – Custom list layouts that all account users can access.

    • Your private custom list layouts – List layouts you created and saved (unless an account administrator or a user with the relevant role permission set the list layout as public).

    • If you're an account administrator or if you have the View and modify all list views role permission, private custom layout owned by others – List layouts others created and saved (unless an account administrator or a user with the relevant role permission set the list layout as public).

    The Lists tab doesn't include public or private custom list layouts that are already published to the BI Connector as private resources. It includes only custom list layouts that you can publish to BI Connector as public resources or that are already published as public resources.

  Click the publish icon to publish a report, refresh published report data, publish list data, or unpublish list data (delete the published list from BI Connector).

  Click the contextual tips utility button and select Copy URL for reports or Copy URL for lists to copy the URL for your OData report or list collection to your clipboard.

  Note:

  To publish resources to the BI Connector, you must have the Business Intelligence Connector feature enabled for your account. For more information, see Business Intelligence Connector Overview.

  To publish reports to the BI Connector, you must be an account administrator or have the Publish reports role permission.

  To publish lists to the BI Connector, you must be an account administrator or have the Publish list view via BI Connector role permission.

• Oracle Analytics – External link to your company's Oracle Analytics Cloud account, if set.

  If your company uses Oracle Analytics, account administrators can set up the link to your company's Oracle Analytics account. To do so, go to Administration > Global settings > Account > Optional features, and enter the relevant URL in the Oracle Analytics link box.

  Tip:

  To connect to your SuiteProjects Pro published report or list data from Oracle Analytics, go to Create > Connection > OData and enter the required connection information. For more information, see Connecting Oracle Analytics Cloud to Your OData Feed.

  Note:

  Oracle Analytics Cloud is a separate licensed service that provides cost-effective, powerful tools to help your business turn data into actionable insights. For more information about purchasing and using the Oracle Analytics service, contact your SuiteProjects Pro account manager.
