Timesheet Tracking Portlet
The Timesheet Tracking portlet lets you track weekly timesheets of your project resources and determine the resource capacity. The portlet also helps identify what action is required related to the status of timesheets.
The following screenshot shows the Timesheet portlet with the columns included in the table:

The system includes all timesheets associated to the project, and with dates that fall on or after the project’s start date.
The Timesheet Tracking portlet displays the following information:

There are two types of approval settings for time records:
-
If you check the Require Approvals on Time Records box on the Accounting Preferences page, the employees’ time transactions require approval from supervisors. If you don't check this, time transactions can be billed to customers or included in the payroll run without the approval of a supervisor.
-
If you also check the Advanced Approvals on Time Records box, the Supervisor Approval field on time entries and the weekly time sheet is replaced by an Approval Status field. This field is editable by supervisors, administrators, and time approvers. This field enables you to set the status of time entries to Open, Pending Approval, Approved, or Rejected.
Preferences can be set at Setup > Accounting > Preferences > Accounting Preferences. For more information about Time Tracking preferences, see Time & Expenses Accounting Preferences.
The following table shows how the approval settings affect the timesheet status:
