Sales Orders and Item Fulfillments
The Sales Order tab provides an alternative to consumables for adding items during field service. When the user is online, the Sales Order workflow can create a sales order and related item fulfillment in real time. Use this workflow for field sales associated with project tasks.
An item fulfillment records inventory that has been fulfilled. The source location, item quantity, and lot or serial number information must match the transaction. Fulfilling a serialized item configured as Field Service Asset can create an FSM asset.
Sales orders record parts and charges for the customer. Item fulfillments update inventory and can create an FSM asset for installed equipment. Incorrect location or inventory information can prevent the expected fulfillment or asset creation.
