Enabling the Real-Time Record Import Feature in SuiteProjects Pro

After you setup the Real-Time Record Import feature in NetSuite, you need to enable it in SuiteProjects Pro.

For an overview of the feature, see Real-Time Record Import.

Warning:

The steps in this help topic describe how to enable and set up the upgraded version of the Real-Time Record Import feature, which uses certificate-based authentication instead of SuiteSignOn to validate real-time record import requests.

Until the SuiteProjects Pro 2023.2 release, Real-Time Record Import relied on the NetSuite Outbound Single Sign-On (SuiteSignOn) feature.

NetSuite plans to end support for SuiteSignOn with the NetSuite 2025.1 for production accounts. The functionality relying on SuiteSignOn may stop working at any time after its end-of-support date. Upgrade before the NetSuite 2025.1 release to ensure service continuity. For upgrade instructions, see Upgrading NetSuite Integration Features to Remove the Dependency on SuiteSignOn.

You should test all integration configuration changes on sandbox NetSuite and SuiteProjects Pro accounts before implementing them in your production accounts.

To enable the Real-Time Record Import Feature in SuiteProjects Pro:

  1. In SuiteProjects Pro, go to Administration > NetSuite Connector > Real-time.

  2. Click the Tips button then NetSuite Connector administration.

The NetSuite Connector administration form appears.

  3. Check the Enable NetSuite real-time integration box under the Other Features section of the form. See Enable NetSuite real-time integration.

  4. Check the Use OAuth 2.0 for NetSuite Single Sign-On Integration and Real-Time Record Import box. See Use OAuth 2.0 for NetSuite Single Sign-On Integration and Real-Time Record Import.

    Note:

This step is also required if you are setting up the SuiteProjects Pro Within NetSuite feature. If you are setting both SuiteProjects Pro Within NetSuite and Real-Time Record Import features at the same time, do this step after completing all other steps to enable the Real-Time Record Import feature. The BetSUite integration then generates a certificate for real-time imports and saves it to both NetSuite and SuiteProjects Pro automatically.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Verify that a valid certificate was generated and saved to NetSuite and SuiteProjects Pro. In some cases – if you checked the Use OAuth 2.0 for NetSuite Single Sign-On Integration and Real-Time Record Import box before other steps required to set up the Real-Time Record Import in NetSuite, for example, you may need to generate the certificate in SuiteProjects Pro. See Real-Time Record Import Certificate and Certificate Rotation.
