Use OAuth 2.0 for NetSuite Single Sign-On Integration and Real-Time Record Import
Checking this box is part of the steps to remove the dependency on the NetSuite Outbound Single Sign-On (SuiteSignOn) feature. For upgrade instructions, see Upgrading NetSuite Integration Features to Remove the Dependency on SuiteSignOn.
Switching to using OAuth 2.0 instead of SuiteSignOn for NetSuite Single Sign-On Integration and Real-Time Record Import is not reversible. After you check this box and click Save, you cannot undo the change and go back to using SuiteSignOn.
Changes to the integration configuration in NetSuite are required before you can check this box. For upgrade instructions, see Upgrading NetSuite Integration Features to Remove the Dependency on SuiteSignOn.
Plan to upgrade your integration configuration before the NetSuite 2025.1 release to ensure service continuity. The functionality relying on NetSuite Outbound Single Sign-On (SuiteSignOn) will stop working with the NetSuite 2025.1 upgrade.
You should test all integration configuration changes on sandbox NetSuite and SuiteProjects Pro accounts before implementing them in your production accounts.
NetSuite will end support for the Outbound Single Sign-On (SuiteSignOn) feature with the NetSuite 2025.1 for production accounts. Support for SuiteSignOn has already ended on non-production accounts, such as sandbox accounts.
By default, the following NetSuite integration features relied on the SuiteSignOn feature as outbound single sign-on method:
-
SuiteProjects Pro Within NetSuite (SuiteProjects Pro NetSuite Single Sign-On Integration) — When enabled, this feature gives users access to SuiteProjects Pro from within the NetSuite UI. See SuiteProjects Pro Within NetSuite.
-
Real-time Record Import — When enabled, records from NetSuite are imported into SuiteProjects Pro in real time when the record is saved in NetSuite. See Real-Time Record Import.
Upgraded versions of these NetSuite integration features provide the same functionality and replace the dependency on the SuiteSignOn feature in NetSuite with more secure, modern, and reliable authentication methods:
-
The upgraded SuiteProjects Pro Within NetSuite feature uses NetSuite as OIDC Provider as outbound single sign-on method. For more information about NetSuite as OIDC Provider, see NetSuite as OIDC Provider (External link to NetSuite SuiteAnswer | Answer ID: 98241).
-
The upgraded Real-Time Record Import feature uses certificate-based authentication.
Note:The older Real-Time Record Import version, which relied on the SuiteSignOn feature, also required the SuiteProjects Pro Within NetSuite (SuiteProjects Pro NetSuite Single Sign-On Integration) feature. The upgraded Real-Time Record Import version no longer requires the SuiteProjects Pro Within NetSuite feature. Each feature can now be enabled separately.
SuiteProjects Pro changes supporting the upgraded SuiteProjects Pro Within NetSuite and Real-time Record Import features were delivered as part of the SuiteProjects Pro 2023.2 release on October 7, 2023.
NetSuite bundles supporting the upgraded SuiteProjects Pro Within NetSuite and Real-time Record Import features were released on February 7, 2024. The upgrade requires the following bundles and release versions:
