Creating Pricing Groups

Price groups enable you to assign customer-specific price levels for groups of items. For example, you could create a pricing group called Laptops and associate the pricing group with all of your laptop items.

Tip:

The maximum number of pricing groups depends on other factors such as total number of price levels and customer records. In general, you should create no more than 1,000 pricing groups. This limit ensures that NetSuite performance is not affected.

To create a pricing group:

  1. Go to Setup > Accounting > Setup Tasks > Accounting Lists > New..

  2. In the Add to Accounting Lists window, click Pricing Group.

  3. Enter a Pricing Group name.

  4. Click Save.

Note:

The price level for a pricing group takes precedence over the customer's price level. It does not take precedence over item pricing.
