Before setting up Quotes for Commerce websites, be aware that:

Quotes for Commerce websites applies to SuiteCommerce MyAccount (SCMA), SuiteCommerce (SC), and the Mont Blanc release of SuiteCommerce Advanced (SCA) and later.

In NetSuite, the terms “estimates” and “quotes” are used interchangeably.
If you're an Administrator, you can change record and transaction names from the NetSuite defaults to ones that fit your company's terminology. For example, you can rename the Estimate transaction to Quote. See the Account Administration topic Renaming Records and Transactions for instructions.

You need to give your customers permission to request a quote. If they don't have permission, they'll be prompted to contact the merchant. See Give Customers Permission to Request and View Quotes.

Only customers can request a quote. Leads and prospects can't use this feature.

The Add to Quote button is displayed on the Product Details Page (PDP) regardless of whether you have given your customers permission to request a quote.
If a customer doesn't have permission to request a quote, after they click the Add to Quote button, a warning message is displayed.
If a customer does have permission to request a quote, after they click the Add to Quote button, the product is added to a quote.

SuiteCommerce lets customers create a quote and make purchases from a quote, but Site Builder Premium only lets customers make purchases from a quote.

Customers can only buy from a quote after it reaches a certain status in the Estimate/Quote record. See Set the Customer Status Internal ID.

Customers need to add their default shipping and billing addresses before they request a quote. They can do this in the My Account area of your website.

The Quotes for Commerce websites feature is not compatible with the following features:

Customers can add items to a quote regardless of the item’s out of stock behavior.

Parent matrix items cannot be added to a quote, only child items.

If you want to send customers an email after they submit a quote, you'll need to set this up in NetSuite as a Workflow Action (see Creating an Action) or as a User Event Script (see User Event Scripts).

After submitting a quote request, customers can't add or remove items from the quote, or update an item's quantity on the Request a Quote page.

Handling costs aren't displayed in the quote summary total. They're added to the order total after the quote becomes a purchase.

Credit card payment is validated when the sales order is processed within the UI, not when a customer makes a purchase from a quote.
