Norway Tax Topics For Accounts Without SuiteTax
If you have a Norway subsidiary and nexus, you can generate the Norway VAT Return if you have the International Tax Reports and Norway Tax Reports SuiteApp. The report can be used as a source for filling in the official tax form for submission to the tax agency.
If you have the Tax Audit Files SuiteApp installed in your NetSuite account, you can map your NetSuite accounts to standard accounts, which are required for the Norway SAF-T. The Account Files Field Mapping screen is updated to support account and tax codes mapping categories for Norway SAF-T Financial report.
Effective January 1, 2022, Norway will implement electronic filing of VAT return aligned with the standard audit file for tax (SAF-T) standard VAT codes. The Norway Tax Reports SuiteApp will support the new Norway eVAT reporting. For more information, see Norway Tax Reports. You can still use the International Tax Reports SuiteApp to generate historical reports prior 2022.
