Key Performance Indicators Portlet
Key performance indicators or KPIs help you quickly assess the compliance status of your organization.
The Key Performance Indicators (KPI) portlet provides you the ability to monitor data security compliance by showing the KPI metrics in the dashboard.
The following screenshot shows the Key Performance Indicators portlet in the Compliance 360 Dashboard:

The comparative data in the portlet can be filtered by the following time periods:
-
Day -the tiles show comparative numbers for today versus yesterday.
-
Week -the tiles show comparative numbers for last week versus this week.
-
Month -the tiles show comparative numbers for last month versus this month.
To change the default date filter applied in the Key Performance Indicators portlet, see Date Filter Settings.
KPI Meter Tiles
The Key Performance Indicators portlet displays six KPI Meter Tiles.
Each tile shows moving graphs of the total record count and the threshold of each KPI meter, the KPI meter's percentage increase or decrease against the set threshold limit in the KPI Settings, and gauge meters that measure the KPIs' compliance statuses.
The following screenshot shows a KPI meter tile, the details of its graphs, and its displayed values:

Refer to the following table for the details of the KPI meter tile's elements:
Number callout in the screenshot |
Element and Description |
Interpretation |
---|---|---|
1 |
Total record count -This number shows the total record count of the KPI meter according to the selected time period. The font color of the total record count matches the threshold percentage color. For example, if the threshold is green (Good), the record count font color will also be green. |
The screenshot shows that there were 358 customer records searched this month. |
2 |
Threshold graph -This graph shows the Daily Threshold Limit set for the KPI meter. The threshold limit is set on daily basis. The system will multiply it by the selected filter (Day, Week, or Month) to calculate the total threshold. For more information about setting threshold limits, see KPI Settings and Daily Threshold Limits. |
You must hover over this graph to see the exact threshold value and the total record count in the particular action (searched, exported, deleted, etc.) |
3 |
Total record count graph -This graph shows where the total record count is lying on the meter with respect to the variation range. |
In this example, the graph shows where 358 (total record count) is lying in the variation range meter. You must hover over this graph to see the exact threshold value and the total record count of the particular action (searched, exported, deleted, etc.) |
4 |
Percentage increase or decrease versus threshold -This percentage shows the total value's increase or decrease versus the threshold limit set for the KPI meter. The color of the percentage changes depending on the variation range percentages set for the KPI meter. For more information about setting KPI meters' variation range, see KPI Settings and Variation Range. |
The screenshot shows that the total value of customer records searched is 28% more than threshold set for the KPI meter. The percentage shown is rounded off. |
5 |
Visual color graph of the variation range -This graph gives you a color representation of the variation range set for the particular KPI meter tile. Hovering over the visual color graph displays the record range counts for the KPI meter tile. |
The green color represents the variation range set for Good. The orange color represents the variation range set for Concerning. The red color represents the variation range for Attention Required. |
6 |
Percentage increase or decrease versus previous time period -This percentage shows the total value's increase or decrease versus the previous time period. This percentage is rounded-off. Each KPI meter has its own default validations to determine the percentage increase or decrease versus the previous time period. For more information, see Validations for Percentage vs Previous Time Period. |
The screenshot shows that this week's total value of customer records searched was an 144% increase from last month's record. |
Clicking a KPI meter tile displays a modal window that lists the involved customer records for that particular KPI. For descriptions of each KPI meter tile's modal window, see KPI Modal Windows.
