Using Available to Build Without Advanced Bill of Materials
If the Advanced Bill of Materials feature is disabled, the sublevel items of an assembly item are not considered when calculating ATB. In this scenario, the ATB value for an assembly item is calculated from the on-hand quantity. The following capabilities are affected when Advanced Bill of Materials feature is disabled:

The Item 360 Manufacturing page does not display Available to Build portlet.

Advanced Bill of Materials feature is not required to calculate ATB value for kit items. The ATB for kit items is calculated based on the item master component list.

On the Sales Order page, the Calculate Available to Build option is not displayed for assembly items.
