Advanced Revenue Management in Configuration Mode

Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) in Configuration Mode lets you configure ARM (Essentials) and ARM (Revenue Allocation) without affecting your current revenue recognition process. Transactions are not processed using ARM while this feature is enabled. For information about configuring ARM (Essentials) and ARM (Revenue Allocation), see Setup for Advanced Revenue Management (Essentials) and Setup for Advanced Revenue Management (Revenue Allocation).

Important:

ARM in Configuration Mode is automatically disabled for users of ARM (Essentials) before the 2024.2 NetSuite release and cannot be enabled.

ARM in Configuration Mode is automatically enabled when you enable the ARM (Essentials) feature. Enabling this feature does not change your revenue recognition workflow. If you are using the classic Revenue Recognition feature, then your transactions continue to be processed through that feature and all revenue recognition reports remain available. For more information about the classic Revenue Recognition feature, see Using Revenue Recognition and Revenue Recognition Reports.

Warning:

If you currently use the classic Revenue Recognition features, contact your sales or account representative to find out how to get Advanced Revenue Management (Essentials). The assistance of NetSuite Professional Services or a qualified NetSuite partner is required to move from classic Revenue Recognition to Advanced Revenue Management (Essentials).

To enable the ARM (Essentials) feature, go to Setup > Company > Setup Tasks > Enable Features. On the Accounting subtab, in the Revenue Accounting section, check the Advanced Revenue Management (Essentials) box. For more information about enabling ARM (Essentials), see Enabling the Advanced Revenue Management (Essentials) Feature.

You cannot configure ARM (Revenue Allocation) without it being enabled. For more information about enabling ARM (Revenue Allocation), see Enabling the Advanced Revenue Management (Revenue Allocation) Feature.

After configuring ARM features, you can disable the ARM in Configuration Mode feature. When you disable the feature, all subsequently created transactions are processed using ARM (Essentials). You cannot enable ARM in Configuration Mode after disabling it.

Before disabling the ARM in Configuration Mode feature, ensure your ARM configuration is ready to recognize revenue using ARM (Essentials). You can continue to make edits to your ARM configuration after disabling ARM in Configuration Mode.
