Transfer Orders
A transfer order moves inventory from a warehouse to a technician's van or another inventory location. Operations users create the transfer order with the appropriate source and destination locations and monitor its fulfillment and receipt status. For technician inventory, set the destination to the technician's assigned employee location.
Technicians can receive transfers in Mobile. After receiving a transfer, technicians must refresh Mobile before they can use the transferred inventory.
Transfer orders provide a controlled process for replenishing technician inventory. Inventory from a transfer is not available to the technician in Mobile until the transfer is received. Incorrect source or destination locations can cause inventory errors and prevent technicians from consuming the transferred inventory.
