Setting Up a Subsidiary Record

You must setup a subsidiary record before you start using the Malaysia Electronic Invoicing SuiteApp. You must have access to Administrator role to setup the subsidiary record.

To setup the subsidiary record:

  1. Go to Setup > Company > Subsidiaries.

  2. Click Edit next to the required subsidiary.

  3. Fill the required fields on the subsidiary record.

  4. The selected country for the subsidiary must be Malaysia.

  5. The selected currency for the subsidiary must be.

  6. In the VAT Registration No field, enter the corresponding VAT registration number.

  7. In the Legal Name field, enter the legal name of the subsidiary.

  8. From the Malaysia Identification Type list, select one of the following identification types:

    • Business Registration Number

    • MyKad Identification Number

    • MyKAS Identification Number

    • MyPR Identification Number

    • MyTentera Identification Number

  9. In the Malaysia Identification Number field, enter the corresponding identification number based on the identification type you select from the Malaysia Identification Type list.

  10. In the Malaysia SST ID field, enter the SST registration number of the registered supplier.

  11. In the Malaysia Tourism Tax Registration Number field enter the subsidiary's tourism tax registration number, this field is applicable only to tourist operators.

  12. From the Malaysia MSIC Code list, select a code and description from the list that represents the subsidiary's business type and activity.

  13. In the Address subtab, fill the required fields for Malaysia's local address.

  14. Click Save.

    Note:

    You must complete the NetSuite Electronic Business (NSEB) setup and activate mandates required for the subsidiary. For more information about setting up NSEB and mandates, see NetSuite Electronic Business Overview.
