The application protocol feature allows the DCB node to advertise the upper-layer protocols and associated priority mapping over a DCB link. Because the SEFOS switch is only a DCB-capable switch and is not FCoE-capable, EtherType for layer 2 protocols is the only protocol supported. The protocol's main purpose is to advertise its capability to the link partner, which is a CNA port, and the host runs FCoE over this CNA link. The priority mapping for this feature is taken from what the PFC feature has configured.
