MLDS software is an implementation of the MLDS mechanism. The software snoops MLD v1 and v2 packets to regulate the multicast traffic to the layer 2 segment of the network. Multicast traffic is allowed to fall through only on downstream ports where listeners are present.
This document explains the MLDS configuration as a part of SEFOS. You are expected to have a basic knowledge of the protocol before using the functions described in this document.
