Subjects and visits
- An error occurs when I try to randomize a subject
If an error occurs when you try to randomize, the subject might have arrived outside the visit window, or the site might have insufficient stock to dispense kits. - A query is added on a form after I sign data
As long as the assigned query has an Open status, that form will remain signed. As soon as you or another user updates the value of the question, to close or update a query, data will have to be re-signed. - A subject failed screening, and I need to rescreen the subject
You might need to rescreen a subject if you made a mistake while completing the screening visit, if the subject's eligibility has changed, or if you manually screen failed a subject in error. - A submitted visit remains in the Next Visit column
Sometimes a completed visit remains in the Next Visit column, when it should move to the Previous Visits column. This issue can occur when a network interruption occurs after you complete a form but before you click a button to submit it. - I can't click Randomize or Dispense during a visit
If the Randomize or Dispense button is grayed out, an answer might be missing or invalid for a required question. - I can't edit a value in a form
If the answer field is grayed and you can't edit the value it means the item is read-only. - I can't enroll a subject in a rollover study
- I can't sign a subject's data
If you can't sign a subject's data, you have two options for solving the issue. - I flagged a question in error
If you flagged a question in error or simply added the wrong data flag, don't worry. You can always go back and change or remove the flag altogether. - I need to transfer a subject
If you need to transfer a subject, contact your CRA for further instructions. - I randomized a subject in error
If you randomized a subject in error, inform your CRA of the error and ask what to do next. - I started a randomization or dispensation visit before the visit date
If you started a randomization or dispensation visit before the start date, you might be able to update the visit start date field so that the visit start date is correct. Some studies allow you to update this field on or after the date when the subject comes in.
