PWA - Task Companion
The Task Companion replaces the need to generate and distribute task sheet reports by providing real-time, interactive housekeeping task management using a mobile device. Attendants can view reservation details, including reservation traces (based on departments selected in the Housekeeping Traces OPERA Control) and post articles to the reservation. When the Guest Service Status OPERA Control is active attendants can also set Do Not Disturb status on rooms. Room Attendants can indicate when they are on a break and this status is indicated in the Task Sheet Overview screen (Summary & Detail) and the Task Sheet presentation screen.
When the Housekeeping Task Scheduling OPERA Control is active, multiple tasks are combined into a single task sheet; select from the list of tasks.
When the Access All Task Assignments in Task Companion task is not assigned to your role, you can only access the task sheet assigned. Housekeeping supervisors can be assigned the Access All Task Assignments in Task Companion task to view task sheets for all room attendants.
Using The Task Companion

Tap to select the assigned task sheet number. For easier identification and selection, you can indicate the assigned attendant for each task sheet.
On the summary page, the following information is provided: the total count of allocated rooms, a count of rooms per room status, a list of the room numbers assigned to the task sheet and task sheet instructions, if applicable, and the total of credits assigned to the task sheet and those completed.
Note:
Rooms listed in the task sheet are sequenced according to their auto-priority. If the room is sold as a component room then an indicator with component suite & room details display (Available when the Component Room OPERA Control is active).
- Select a Room to view its details. The following information and options are available:
- Preferred service time
- Room specific task instructions
- Linen Change indicator
- Credits
- Make Up Room indicator

Tap Start to begin the task. The following options appear for the first room:

You can also swipe from right to left on a room to start the task and swipe left to right for more options.Note:
Depending on the Task Companion Timer OPERA Control, a time counter might increment or decrement during completion of the task.- Finish this room: Tap to complete the task, close the page and begin the next room in sequence.
Note:
The room no longer shows in the room list since the task has been completed and the Task Companion advances to the task for the next room.-
Start: Tap to begin the task for the room.

Cancel: Tap to cancel the task.

Room Status: Once the task is complete select a room status from the options available. For more information, see Room Status.
- Housekeeping Status: Update the housekeeping status (to vacant or occupied). These housekeeping status options are used to report a discrepancy between housekeeping status and the front office status of the room; resulting in a Skip or Sleep discrepancy. (Available when the Discrepant Rooms OPERA Controls is active).

Reservations: Tap to view details of arrival, stay over, or departure reservations.

Traces: Tap to add, view, or update traces for the room reservations (available when the Reservation Traces OPERA Control is active). Traces for departments selected in the Housekeeping Traces OPERA Control are available.

Resolve trace: Tap to resolve a trace.

Create trace: Tap to create a trace by selecting a Department, selecting the Date Range, entering the message into the Trace Text field, and then tapping Save.

Do not Disturb: Tap to identify a room as DND. The room is skipped and the next room appears (Available when the Guest Service Status OPERA Control is active).

Maintenance Requests: Tap to create, view, or update maintenance requests for the room (Available when the Maintenance OPERA Control is active). For more information, see Room Maintenance Progressive Web App.

On-break: Tap to pause the task. This is indicated in the Housekeeping Attendant Console. To resume, tap the On-break icon again.

Assistance: Tap to send notifications to other users that assistance is required.
- Tap the Send Location button to send a notification with the current room number and property code.
- Add text to the General Assistance notification and tap the Send button to broadcast the request for general assistance.
Note:
The Request Assistance action only sends a notification to users assigned a role with the Receive Task Companion General Assistance Notifications and/or Receive Task Companion Location Notifications tasks granted.
