PWA - Room Status
Use Room Status to update the status of a specific room (for example, clean to inspected). When the Discrepant Room OPERA Control is active. You can also update the housekeeping status to identify a Skip or Sleep discrepant room. For more information, see Managing Room Discrepancies.

You can either swipe or use long-press gestures to reveal the available actions for a room.Updating Room Status

Enter search criteria and tap Search.

Tap the Room to update or swipe from right to left to change the room status.

Select a new room status.
- Inspected (IP)
: An optional status to indicate a clean room has been inspected by a supervisor (Available when the Inspected Status OPERA Control is active).

Clean (CL)
: Indicates the room has been serviced and is clean.
- Pickup (PU)
: An optional status to indicate a minimum “touch-up" housekeeping service is required. This might occur if the room is occupied for only a few minutes and only needs refreshing (available when the Pickup Status OPERA Control is active).

Dirty (DI)
: Indicates the room is dirty and requires a cleaning service.

Update the housekeeping status to report a room discrepancy.

An occupied room set to a Vacant status registers a skip discrepancy.

A vacant room set to an Occupied status registers a sleep discrepancy.

Updating Housekeeping Statuses
When the Discrepant Room OPERA Control is active. You can also update the housekeeping status to identify a Skip or Sleep discrepant room. For more information, see Managing Room Discrepancies.

Enter search criteria and tap Search.

Tap the Room to update (or swipe from left to right and select the More.. option, then select the housekeeping status).

Update the housekeeping status to report a room discrepancy:

Select Vacant
to register a skip discrepancy.

Select Occupied
to register a sleep discrepancy.

Tap < to return to the search results.

The Number of Guests field is available in occupied rooms and displays the person's value from Front Office Guests. However, you can edit the Number of Guests field to update the Housekeeping persons and to create a Person Discrepancy that displays a person icon on the Room (Available when the Person Discrepancy OPERA Controls is active). A person discrepancy created in OPERA Cloud displays in OPERA Cloud Mobile (PWA) in the Room Status. You can view the total discrepancy in persons from the OPERA Cloud Room Status tile.
Setting Housekeeping Service Priority
Select to prioritize the room in the task sheet companion.

Enter search criteria and tap Search.

Tap the Room to update (or swipe from left to right and select the Prioritized).

In Housekeeping Service, tap Prioritized

Setting Out of Order / Out of Service Statuses
When the Out of Order and Out Of Service OPERA Controls are active, you can also set out of order and out of service status for vacant rooms. When the Unit Status OPERA Control is active, you can select from list of Unit Status reasons instead of standard Out of Order and Out of Service reasons. For more information, see Configuring Unit Statuses.

Enter search criteria and tap Search.

Tap the Room or swipe from left to right and select Out of Service
or Out of Order
.

From Date: Enter a start date.

Through Date: Enter an end date.

Reason: Select a reason from the list. When the Unit Status OPERA Control is active, unit status reasons are displayed.

Remarks: Enter any remarks to explain the reason.

Return Status: Select a room status from the list as the status when room is returned to availability.

Take Photo: Click to take pictures and upload to the Out of Order record.

Add from Gallery: Click to upload pictures from your device gallery or choose from files or take a new photo to upload to the Out of Order record.

Tap Confirm to save.

Updating Out of Order / Out of Service Statuses

Enter search criteria and tap Search.

Tap the out of order or out of service room (or swipe from left to right and select Manage).

Update the details.

Tap Confirm to save.
