Creating a Communication Distribution Storage Configuration

Introduction

Communication Distribution Storage facilitates the distribution of digital assets for storage to a storage supplier service, such as Oracle SFTP. It enables you to orchestrate storage asset delivery by configuring processes and associated services to control the execution of the Communication Distribution Storage request.

Prerequisites

Following are the prerequisites to consider before creating a Communication Distribution Storage configuration.

Note:

Ensure that you complete the prerequisite before proceeding.

Prerequisites	Details
Set the Config ID	Config ID must be Active. Ensure all dependent configurations and associations are part of the same open Config ID. See Creating Config ID.
Configure entitlements	Ensure that you have the required entitlements to create a Communication Distribution Storage configuration. See Understanding Entitlements Management for information on Entitlements. See Communication Distribution Storage section in Transaction Type Listing for Communication Distribution for entitlements required for Communication Distribution Storage configuration..
Create Marketing Company configuration	Ensure that you have created the Marketing Company configuration that needs to be associated to the Communication Distribution Storage configuration. See Creating Marketing Company for more details.
Create Oracle SFTP configuration	Ensure that you have created Oracle SFTP configuration that needs to be associated to the Communication Distribution Storage configuration. See Creating an Oracle SFTP Configuration for more information.

Creating a Communication Distribution Storage configuration involves the following steps:

Creating a Communication Distribution Storage and Associating Brand Marketing Company
Creating a Detail
Creating a Process
Creating a Service
Associating Supplier Service Integration Configuration
Creating a Table for Communication Distribution Storage

Creating a Communication Distribution Storage and Associating Brand Marketing Company

To create a Communication Distribution Storage configuration, follow these steps:

Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
From Menu, select Communication.
Under Communication, select Distribution, and then select Communication Distribution Storage.
On the Communication Distribution Storage landing page, select Create.
In Basic Information section, enter the Name, Long Name and Description (optional), to identify the Communication Distribution Storage configuration.
In Brand (Marketing Company) section, select Add Marketing Company and then select the Marketing Company that you want to associate to the Communication Distribution Storage.

Note:
You can associate only one Marketing Company per Communication Distribution Storage configuration.
In Status section, Active Date is set to the current date when the Communication Distribution Storage configuration is created. You can modify it to a future date, if required.
Select Save to save the details, or Save & Continue to save the information and continue creating the Communication Distribution Storage Detail.

Creating a Detail

In the Communication Distribution Storage Detail configuration, you can set the required Scenarios (Dimensions) to the Communication Distribution Transaction Type events. Detail configuration is associated to a Table where you can define the sequence of processes to be executed.

To create Communication Distribution Storage Detail, follow these steps:

On Create Communication Distribution Storage Detail page, under Basic Information section, enter the Name,Long Name, and Description (optional), to identify the Communication Distribution Storage Detail.
In Scenarios (Dimensions) section, select User Defined under Communication Transaction Type to define the transaction event. Enter the Communication User Transaction Type. For example, provide Communication User Transaction Type as Storage Delivery, for sending digital assets for storage.

Note:
The value of Communication User Transaction Type is applicable only to the current Detail configuration.
In Status section, Active Date is set to the current date when the Detail configuration of Communication Distribution Storage is created. You can modify it to a future date, if required.
Select Save to save the details, or Save & Continue to save the information and continue creating the Communication Distribution Storage Process.

Note:
You can create a Contextualized Table only after configuring Process. Once the Contextualized Table has been created and associated to the Communication Distribution Storage Detail, the Scenarios (Dimensions) will be locked and cannot be modified.

Creating a Process

In the Communication Distribution Storage Process configuration, you can set the Process Type along with Process Supplier Error Behavior.

To create Communication Distribution Storage Process, follow these steps:

On Create Communication Distribution Storage Process page, under Basic Information section, enter the Name, Long Name, and Description (optional), to identify the Communication Distribution Storage Process.

In Process Type section, perform the following:

Select Process Type as SFTP Delivery.

Select Process Supplier Error Behavior. This determines how a Process behaves if the Service that it calls returns any type of error.

Process Supplier Error Behavior	Description
Complete Process if Any Service Complete	The process continues if one or more Services complete successfully, even if any of the Service returns error.
Abort Process if Any Service Errors	The process aborts if any of its Service returns error.

In Status section, Active Date is set to the current date when the Communication Distribution Storage Process configuration is created. You can modify it to a future date, if required.
Select Save to save the details, or Save & Continue to save the information and continue creating the Communication Distribution Storage Service.

Creating a Service

Using the Communication Distribution Storage Service, you can select the Supplier Service using which you want to distribute the storage asset to the storage supplier service, such as Oracle SFTP.

To create Communication Distribution Storage Service, follow these steps:

On Create Communication Distribution Storage Service page, under Basic Information section, enter the Name, Long Name, and Description (optional), to identify the Communication Distribution Storage Service.
In Status section, Active Date is set to the current date when the of Communication Distribution Storage Service configuration is created. You can modify it to a future date, if required.
Select Save to save the details and associate Supplier Service Configuration.

Associating Supplier Service Integration Configuration

After saving the Communication Distribution Storage Service configuration, the Associations section is displayed.

To associate Communication Distribution Storage Service to a Supplier Service Integration configuration, follow these steps:

In Update Communication Distribution Storage Service page, under Associations, select Add next to the Supplier Service Integration configuration.
Select the Supplier Service Integration configuration that you want to associate.

Note:
You can associate only one Supplier Service Integration configuration per Communication Distribution Storage Service configuration.
Select Save to save the information, or Save & Continue to save and continue creating Contextualize Table.

Creating a Table for Communication Distribution Storage

To create a Table, you need to configure at least one Process under Communication Distribution Storage Detail configuration. The Table determines which processes to execute and in what order when the Communication Distribution Storage configuration is considered for execution. Through this Table you can define which process and linked service the Communication Distribution Storage configuration should execute. After each process has completed, the Table determines the next process to execute, or whether processing is complete.

After you create the process, you can create the Table. Follow these steps:

You are redirected to the Communication Distribution Storage Detail that you have already created. Or from the left navigation, select the Communication Distribution Storage Detail that you have created.
On Update Communication Distribution Storage Detail page, under Associations, select Add next to Contextualize Table.
Enter the required information to create a Table. See Creating a Contextualized Table for more information.

Maintaining a Communication Distribution Storage Configuration

Introduction

You can update or delete Communication Distribution Storage configuration to cater to the changing business needs. When you replace or add new associations, ensure that those configurations belong to the same Config ID that you used to create the Communication Distribution Storage configuration.   If the initial Config ID used for creating a Communication Distribution Storage Configuration is closed, and if you want to edit the configuration, see Editing a Configuration after Closing the Config ID.

You can update the following Communication Distribution Storage information:

Editing a Communication Distribution Storage Configuration: Update the basic information of the Communication Distribution Storage configuration and Active Date, replace the Marketing Company, or add new Detail under the same configuration.
Editing a Communication Distribution Storage Detail: Update the basic information of the Detail, Active Date, or add new Detail under the same configuration or Process under the same Detail configuration.  .
Editing a Communication Distribution Storage Contextualized Table: Update Table Identification and Table Data or delete the Table.
Editing a Communication Distribution Storage Process: Update the basic information of the Process and Active Date or add new Process under the same Detail configuration..
Editing a Communication Distribution Storage Service: Update the basic information of the Service and Active Date. You can also remove the associated Supplier Service integration configuration.   .
Deleting a Communication Distribution Storage Service: Delete a Communication Distribution Storage Service that you are no longer using, if the Config ID is open.
Deleting a Communication Distribution Storage Process: Delete a Communication Distribution Storage Process that you are no longer using, if the Config ID is open.
Deleting a Communication Distribution Storage Detail: Delete a Communication Distribution Storage Detail that you are no longer using, if the Config ID is open.
Deleting a Communication Distribution Storage Configuration: Delete a Communication Distribution Storage configuration that you are no longer using, if the Config ID is open.

Editing a Communication Distribution Storage Configuration

You can edit the basic information and Active Date of a Communication Distribution Storage configuration. You can also add new Detail under the same configuration.

Perform the following steps:

Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
From Menu, select Communication.
Under Communication, select Distribution and then select Communication Distribution Storage. This redirects you to the Communication Distribution Storage landing page.
To edit the Communication Distribution Storage configuration, follow either one of these options from the landing page:
- From More Menu in Action column of the respective Communication Distribution Storage configuration, select Edit.
- From Name column, select the Communication Distribution Storage configuration name to view its Summary page. Then from Summary page, select Edit.
This redirects you to Update Communication Distribution Storage page.
On Update Communication Distribution Storage page, modify the information as required.
To replace the Marketing Company, under Brand (Marketing Company) section, from More Menu in Action column, select Replace. Select a different Marketing Company belonging to the same Config ID.
To add a new Detail, from Actions on the top right corner, select Add Child and provide the required information of the new Detail.

Editing a Communication Distribution Storage Detail

You can edit the basic information and Active Date of a Communication Distribution Storage Detail. You can add new Detail under the same configuration and add new Process under the same Detail.

Perform the following steps:

From the left pane of Update Communication Distribution Storage page, navigate to the Detail and modify the basic information and Active Date, if required.
Select Add Child from Actions on the top right corner, to create new Process under the same Detail configuration. Provide the required information of the new Process.
Select Add Sibling from Actions on the top right corner to create new Detail under the same Communication Distribution Storage configuration, provide the required information of the new Detail. For more information, see Creating a Detail.

Editing a Communication Distribution Storage Contextualized Table

You can edit the Table Identification and Table Data of the Contextualized Table associated to Communication Distribution Storage Detail configuration.

Perform the following steps:

From the left pane of Update Communication Distribution Storage page, navigate to the Detail.
Select Expand All under Associations section. Then select More Menu under Action column.
Select Edit Table Identification. This redirects you to the Update Table page to update the basic information of the Contextualized Table.
- Use the left panel of the Table to navigate to Fact Input Columns. Select Add Additional Column from Actions on the top right corner to add column. For more information, see Configuring Input Facts.
- Select Remove corresponding to a column to remove the column from the Table.
Select Edit Table Data. For more information, see Configuring Table Data. Select Delete to delete the Contextualized Table. The initial Config ID used for creating the Contextualized Table should be Open.

Editing a Communication Distribution Storage Process

You can edit the basic information and Active Date of a Communication Distribution Storage Process. You can also add new Process under the same Detail configuration.

Perform the following steps:

From the left pane of Update Communication Distribution Storage page, navigate to Process and modify the basic information, Process Type, Process Supplier Error Behavior or Active Date, if required.
Select Add Sibling from Actions on the top right corner to create new Process under the same Detail configuration. Provide information of the new Process. For more information, see Creating a Process.

Editing a Communication Distribution Storage Service

You can edit the basic information and Active Date of a Communication Distribution Storage Service. You can also remove the Supplier Service integration configuration from the Service.

Perform the following steps:

From the left pane of Update Communication Distribution Storage page, navigate to Service and modify the basic information, or Active Date if required.
To remove Supplier Service integration configuration, select Expand All under Associations section. Then select More Menu under corresponding Action column and select Remove.

Deleting a Communication Distribution Storage Service

To delete the Communication Distribution Storage Service, it must not be associated to any other configurations.

Perform the following steps:

Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application. 
From Menu, select Communication and then select Distribution.
Under Distribution, select Communication Distribution Storage. This redirects you to the Communication Distribution Storage landing page.
Follow either one of these options from the Communication Distribution Storage landing page:
- From More Menu in Action column of the respective Communication Distribution Storage configuration, select Edit.
- From Name column, select the required Communication Distribution Storage configuration name to view its Summary page. Then from Summary page, select Edit.
From the left pane, navigate to the Service you want to delete. 
If there are any associations, follow these steps to remove the association:
1. Under Associations section, select Expand All. 
2. Under Action column, select Remove corresponding to the association.
On Update Communication Distribution Storage Service page, from Actions from the top right corner, select Delete.
In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.

Deleting a Communication Distribution Storage Process

To delete the Communication Distribution Storage Process, it must not be associated to any other configurations, and all its child Service configurations should have been deleted.

Perform the following steps:

From the left pane of Update Communication Distribution Storage page, navigate to the Process you want to delete.
On Update Communication Distribution Storage Process page, from Actions on the top right corner, select Delete.
In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.

Deleting a Communication Distribution Storage Detail

To delete the Communication Distribution Storage Detail, it must not be associated to any other configurations and associations, and all its child Process configurations should have been deleted.

Perform the following steps:

From the left pane of Update Communication Distribution Storage page, navigate to the Detail you want to delete.
If there are any associations, follow these steps to remove the association:
1. Under Associations section, Select Expand All. 
2. Under Action column, select More Menu, and select Delete to delete the Contextualized Table
On Update Communication Distribution Storage Detail page, from Actions from the top right corner, select Delete.
In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.

Deleting a Communication Distribution Storage Configuration

You can delete a Communication Distribution Storage configuration if it is no longer required. It must not be associated to any other configurations, and all its child Detail configurations should have been deleted. Before deleting a configuration, you must ensure that the initial Config ID used for configuration creation is open.

Perform the following steps:

Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
From Menu, select Communication and then select Distribution.
Under Distribution, select Communication Distribution Storage. This redirects you to the Communication Distribution Storage landing page.
Follow either one of these options from the Communication Distribution Storage landing page:
- From More Menu in Action column of the respective Communication Distribution Storage configuration, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.
- From More Menu in Action column of the respective Communication Distribution Storage configuration, select Edit. This redirects you to the Update Communication Distribution Storage page. From Actions on the top right corner, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.
