45 Feature Nodes and Feature Sets
This chapter explains how to select feature nodes for use in control plans.
A control plan consists of multiple different decision points or actions. These decision points are represented graphically by symbolic icons known as “feature nodes”. Control plans are constructed using the ACS Control Plan Editor.
This chapter contains the following topics.
Adding Feature Sets
The ACS Configuration screen enables feature sets to be maintained. A feature set is a convenient way of grouping feature nodes.
Customers are allocated one or more feature sets. The feature nodes from those feature sets can be used in any control plan the customer creates. Only the feature nodes available in the feature sets assigned to a customer will be displayed on the control plan feature palette in the Control Plan Editor for that customer.
Feature sets are created and maintained by the system administrator. Therefore, this screen is only available to the system administrator. The system administrator allocates the feature node sets maintained in this screen to customers.
It is not possible to delete a feature set that is used in a current customer control plan.
When the Edit button is clicked, the screen will have the check boxes for the nodes that are currently in the feature node set ticked. If the New button was clicked, a new set may be created, the Feature Node Set field will be blank and all nodes will be clear.
