Filter Devices by Region Using the Map

Use the map to narrow results to a specific geographic area. This workflow applies to both device inventory and edge-node inventory.

Oracle ECP uses a geofilter to filter assets by map area.

  1. On the Inventory page, click Map.
  2. Click the Draw Polygon tool in the lower map toolbar.

  3. Draw a polygon around the area that you want to filter.
  4. When the floating Apply button appears, click Apply.

After you apply the geofilter, Oracle ECP shows only the assets inside the selected region. The same filtered results appear in both map view and table view.

Only one geofilter can be active at a time. A new polygon replaces the current geofilter.

When a geofilter is active, Oracle ECP shows a Geofilter Active filter chip in both map view and table view. You can remove the geofilter from the filter chip or from the trash icon next to the Draw Polygon tool or by removing the Geofilter Active filter from the search bar.

Browser refresh and back-button behavior continue to work with geofilters. Bookmarking does not preserve a geofilter.
