Program Types

Program Types are used to define reusable structures for marketing programs. Marketing administrators can create program types, define the fields available for each type, configure required fields, and manage metadata such as product, industry, region, and external tracking identifiers. Marketers can then select a program type when creating a program, helping standardize how programs are organized and governed.

Try it out

  • Marketing administrators can go to Programs, open Program Types, and create or update a program type. From there, administrators can define the program type name and description, manage available program properties and set field behavior such as required status or lookup configuration.
  • Marketing users can then select an available program type when creating a new program.

  • Use program types to standardize how teams capture metadata for different marketing strategies.
  • Default program fields include Program Name, Program Objective, Product, Industry, Region, and External Tracking ID.
  • Default fields cannot be deleted.

Access requirements

  • Ensure users have required duties:
    • View Marketing Program Types (ORA_FMK_VIEW_PROGRAM_TYPE): Allows viewing of marketing program types.
    • Create Marketing Program Types (ORA_FMK_CREATE_PROGRAM_TYPE): Allows creation of marketing program types.
    • Update Marketing Program Types (ORA_FMK_UPDATE_PROGRAM): Allows updating marketing program types.
    • Archiving Marketing Program Types (ORA_FMK_ARCHIVE_PROGRAM): Allows archiving of marketing programs.
