Use Oracle Managed Content libraries

Redwood Platform

Oracle Managed Content is a delivered content library for Risk Management. It organizes content by the Solution attribute into five libraries: Security Checkup, ERP Assurance, ERP Cybersecurity, HCM Cybersecurity, and Foundation. The Security Checkup library runs automatically.

Oracle Managed Content brings together the related records needed to establish a risk and control framework. The libraries include predefined algorithms, internal controls, risks, processes, supporting data, record configuration templates, and reference data. Algorithms are mapped to their related internal controls and supporting records, helping you understand how the delivered content is connected.

Oracle Managed Content includes three record configuration templates for internal controls:

  • Business Process Control, delivered as the default template with a Published status.
  • IT General Control, delivered with a Draft status.
  • Entity Level Control, delivered with a Draft status.

Reference data provides the delivered metadata attributes and values that support Oracle Managed Content records and record configuration templates. For every Oracle Managed Content record, its corresponding reference data has a reference code that ends in .ORA.

Business benefit

Accelerate adoption of Risk Management with a consistent, connected foundation of risk and control content. Oracle Managed Content reduces the effort required to create and align the records that support your risk-management program.

Steps to enable and configure

The Security Checkup library runs automatically. Records in the other Oracle Managed Content libraries are delivered in Draft status and must be published before they can be used.

Here's how you can publish them:

  1. From the Newsfeed home page, open Risk Management.
  2. Select Algorithms.
  3. Search for .ORA and select those records you want to publish.
  4. Select the ellipsis and select Publish.

You need at least Edit but not Assign stakeholder authorization for a record to publish it.

Follow the same steps to publish applicable Oracle Managed Content records in Entitlements, Algorithm Filters, and Internal Controls.

Tips and considerations

  • Use the Solution attribute to identify the content library that applies to your needs.
  • For every Oracle Managed Content record, the corresponding reference data has a reference code that ends in .ORA.

Access requirements

Record-level stakeholder assignments determine what users can view and do for Oracle Managed Content records. At least one person on each record must have stakeholder assignment authorization.

For access details, refer to Risk Management secured record access framework in this What’s New.
