Configure Internal Control Record Configurations
A record configuration defines the page template used for an Internal Control record. The template determines the sections and attributes displayed on the record, including supported visibility and required-setting behavior.
Seeded base templates support Internal Control Financial Reporting (ICFR) and IT General Controls (ITGC). Authorized users can review templates from the Record Configurations list, where each template shows its reference code, name, record type, and status. Users can search and filter templates, then open a template in View mode.
To tailor a delivered configuration, copy the seeded template and update supported sections and attributes. The copied template is named {TEMPLATE_NAME} (Copy).
Business benefit
Seeded templates provide a consistent starting point for configuring Internal Control record pages while allowing organizations to tailor supported attributes for their requirements.
Steps to enable and configure
- From the Fusion Applications Newsfeed home page, open Risk Management.
- In the Reference Data and Settings module, select Record Configurations in the in-app navigation.
- The Risk Administrator will need to select all record configuration records and Share with the appropriate business user/s.
- Select all records, click Share, Invite Stakeholder, select Record configuration owner, with the authorization to Assign and edit.
- The Risk Administrator will need to select the Internal Control Master record and share the record with All Employees.
- The Business Process Controls record configuration template is set to Published by default. To use any of the additional delivered templates, their status must first be updated to Published.
Tips and considerations
- Initially, the Risk Administrator must grant appropriate business users access to the delivered templates.
- For each Oracle Manage Content record configuration template, a stakeholder must be set to All Employees to enable the templates to be used within the Internal Controls.
- The Stakeholders section label is fixed and can’t be relabeled. Other supported sections can be updated.
- Attribute visibility uses Hidden and Visible values. Required settings use Yes and No.
- Template statuses are Archive, In Trash, Published, and Draft.
- Reordering sections or attributes within a section isn’t currently supported.
- In 26D, the list-page action is Exports. It will be renamed Exports and Jobs after migration functionality is available.
Access requirements
Record Configurations access is controlled through Stakeholders. Users can view only record configurations for which they have explicit authorization. When the All Employees participant group is assigned, users can view the record configurations in the list. Additional actions, including edit and copy, depend on the user’s authorization and applicable privileges.
