Customer Record Subtabs
The subtabs that appear on a customer record vary depending on the features enabled in your account and the permissions included in your user role. The following list includes the most common subtabs with brief descriptions and links to additional information.
-
Subsidiaries – If you use the Multi Subsidiary Customer feature of NetSuite OneWorld, standard customer record forms include a Subsidiaries subtab. This subtab enables you to assign secondary subsidiaries to the customer. For information, see Assigning Additional Subsidiaries to a Customer.
-
Relationships – This subtab lets you associate contacts, subcustomers, and (if you use the Multi-Partner Management feature) partners with the customer. For information, see Associating a Contact with a Record and Associating Partners With Customers and Transactions.
-
Communication – Use the subtabs on this subtab to create and add activities associated with this customer or contact. NetSuite filters messages on this subtab according to those sent to the currently selected entity. For example, if you select a customer, all communication sent to that customer’s primary contact is listed. If you select a contact, communication sent to that contact is listed. For more information, see Attaching Events, Tasks, and Calls to Records and Transactions.
This subtab also lets you attach files and add your user notes to the record. For information, see Attaching Files to Records.
-
Address – This subtab is where you enter addresses for the customer. Each customer can have multiple addresses. For some customer transactions, a valid billing or shipping address (or both) is required. For instructions, see Entering an Address on a Record.
