Intelligent Item Recommendations Workbook
The Intelligent Item Recommendations workbook enables you to view and analyze data collected by the Intelligent Item Recommendations extension. The workbook is a useful tool to understand the success of recommendations because it enables you to track customer behavior after they see a recommendation. For example, the workbook tracks when a customer sees a recommendation, when they click through to view the item, if they buy the recommended item, and the estimated revenue generated by these purchases.
The Intelligent Items workbook shows data on the following interactions:
-
Show Events – number of times intelligent item recommendations were shown to shoppers
-
Click Events – number of times shoppers clicked on a recommendation
-
Carousel Events – number of times shoppers chose to see more recommendations by clicking on the next and previous arrows in the recommended items carousel
-
Click Through Rate – percentage of times that customers clicked through to a recommended product after being shown a recommendation
To access the workbook, click the Analytics tab in the navigation menu and then click the Intelligent Item Recommendations link in the Workbook Templates list on the Workbooks subtab.
The workbook includes multiple tabs:
-
Table Tabs
-
Recommendation Interactions – this table contains the number of show, click, and carousel events per day in For Shopper and For Item recommendation contexts. It also displays the daily click through rate.
-
Estimated Revenue – this table contains the daily transaction details of each recommended item shoppers bought within seven days of clicking through to the item. The details are available for both For Shopper and For Item recommendation contexts. Details in the table include sales order numbers, item names/numbers, item value, and customer name.
-
-
Pivot Tab
Interaction Pivot – displays show events, click events, and carousel events per day. Daily grand totals of interactions across all websites are shown to the right of the table. Grand totals of each interaction per website for the last 30 days are shown at the bottom of the table.
-
Chart Tabs
-
Interaction Chart – a bar chart that displays the total show events, click events, and carousel events per day for the past 30 days. Seeing this information visually helps to identify patterns in the conversion rate.
-
Click Through Rate – a line graph that shows the daily click through rate for the last 30 days.
-
Estimated Revenue – an area chart that shows the estimated revenue generated per day due to recommendations for the last 30 days.

For more information about each tab, see Navigating SuiteAnalytics Workbook.
If you have more than one website, the tables and charts contain data for all websites. You can choose to apply filters to view the data for only the websites you need.
