Prospect Records

In NetSuite, prospects are the middle step in the sales cycle that progresses from lead to prospect to customer.

Prospect records enable you to track all the information you need to convert a prospect into a customer, such as:

Typically, you create a prospect record by converting a lead record. For information, see Lead Conversion.

The procedure to create a prospect record directly is the same as the process to create a customer record. The primary difference is that you select a prospect status instead of a customer status in the record status field. For instructions, see Creating a Customer Record.
