Rebate Types Used in Rebates and Trade Promotions SuiteApp

The following rebate types are used in the Rebates and Trade Promotions SuiteApp:

Receiving Rebates on Sales Transactions – The rebates which are calculated for every eligible sales transaction are received by the customers or vendors. Paying Rebates on Sales Transactions – The rebates which are calculated for every eligible sales transaction are paid to the customers or vendors.	Receiving Rebates on Purchase Transactions-The rebates which are calculated for every eligible purchase transaction are received by the customers or vendors. Paying Rebates on Purchase Transactions– The rebates which are calculated for every eligible purchase transaction are paid to the customers or vendors.

Receiving Rebates on Sales Transactions – The rebates which are calculated for every eligible sales transaction are received by the customers or vendors.
Paying Rebates on Sales Transactions – The rebates which are calculated for every eligible sales transaction are paid to the customers or vendors.

Receiving Rebates on Purchase Transactions-The rebates which are calculated for every eligible purchase transaction are received by the customers or vendors.
Paying Rebates on Purchase Transactions– The rebates which are calculated for every eligible purchase transaction are paid to the customers or vendors.

For both rebate types, rebates are earned for reaching established target amounts or quantities on eligible volume based rebate agreements. Volume based rebates are calculated either by a percentage of the transaction amount or on a rate per unit basis. For more information about volume rebates, see Volume Rebates.

To calculate both rebate types, the system uses various calculation methods, cost basis, and values from the agreement details. The rebate type determines which transactions are associated with the rebates, and directly affects accruals and settlements.
