Installing Expense Commitments and Budget Validation

This section includes the prerequisites and instructions for installing the Expense Commitments and Budget Validation SuiteApp.

Prerequisites

The SuiteApp is developed and tested for use primarily with NetSuite OneWorld. The SuiteApp also does not support non-OneWorld accounts.

The following are the prerequisites for installing the SuiteApp:

Note:

If the Multi-Book Accounting feature is enabled, you must also enable the Extended Accounting Period Close Process feature. After enabling the feature, the budget validation will only be supported in the Primary book.

Installation

Any role with access to the SuiteApp Marketplace in NetSuite can install the Expense Commitments and Budget Validation SuiteApp. For more information about the SuiteApp Marketplace, see SuiteApp Marketplace in NetSuite

To install the Expense Commitments and Budget Validation SuiteApp:

  1. Go to the SuiteApps tab.

    Note:

    The SuiteApps menu is not available for the following centers:

    • Advanced Partner Center

    • Employee Center

    • Partner Center

    • Vendor Center

  2. In the Search Apps field, enter Expense Commitments and Budget Validation SuiteApp.

  3. Click the Expense Commitments and Budget Validation tile.

  4. Go to the top right area of the Labor Expense Allocation SuiteApp details page and click Install.

The Expense Commitments and Budget Validation is a managed SuiteApp and is automatically updated whenever enhancements or new features are added.
