Swapping Shifts

Important:

Starting August 5, 2025, SuitePeople Workforce Management apps that are not using the latest version will automatically be updated.

To safely upgrade to the latest version and avoid interruptions later, complete required actions before August 5, 2025.

To start a shift swap, the employee selects their scheduled shift in the app and clicks Swap. They'll be asked to enter a reason and told the shift is still their until the manager approves the swap.

Afetr entering a reason, they click Request. Then, employees who can work that job at that location are notified in the app. If someone wants to offer a shift to swap, they click the trade notification and the swap icon to offer a shift in return.

The employee selects the shifts they want to offer and then clicks Offer. The original employee receives notifications in the app when others make swap offers. They can click the Trade icon to see their open trades and click the number tag to see swap options.

After looking over the options, they select the shift swap they want to accept and click Accept. When the swap is accepted, the manager receives a notification in the app. They can see the proposed swap, any cost difference, and the reason for the swap, then approve it by clicking Yes or deny it by clicking No.

If denied, the employee is notified and can choose to pick up a different shift. The manager will receive a new notifcation to approve or deny the next swap request.
