Setting Up Locations and Inventory Structure
During initial setup of FSM, the locations and inventory structure you create will typically be used for testing. In most scenarios, the operations manager creates and maintains the location records for FSM.
Create the following locations for each subsidiary:

At least one warehouse location.

A separate van location for each technician who carries inventory.
For warehouse locations, check the Use Bins and Make Inventory Available boxes when appropriate.
For van locations, check the Make Inventory Available box. In most cases, leave the Use Bins box cleared. Using bins requires a putaway process, which is usually unsuitable for a technician van.
Use inventory adjustments to add test inventory to warehouse and van locations. Select the correct subsidiary, location, and inventory variance account. For serialized inventory, enter the serial numbers.
