Updating the Member Formulas for Cash Flow Dimension Members to Single Currency

For the Account dimension, update the member formulas of all zero-level accounts for certain Cash Flow dimension members. Update the member formulas of these accounts by switching from the multi-currency version of the member formula to the single currency version. To do this, comment the multi-currency expression to exclude it from being interpreted in the member formula. Then, uncomment the single currency expression to include it in the member formula.

Switch all zero-level accounts to the single currency formula for the following Cash Flow dimension members:

To update the member formulas to the single currency formula:

  1. Click the Navigator icon Screenshot of the Navigator icon in NSPB, and under Create and Manage, click Dimensions.

  2. On the Dimensions tab, in the Dimension list, select Account.

  3. Click the expand arrow Expand arrow icon next to NFS_Cash Flow Statement. Continue to expand the Cash Flow dimension members until you reach the zero-level members.

  4. Select a zero-level dimension to update. Then, click Actions and select Edit.

    The Edit Member page appears.

  5. Click the Member Formula tab.

  6. In the text box, highlight the multi-currency member formula, and then click the Comment icon Comment icon.

    Alternatively, you can remove the comment characters (/*) around the multi-currency member formula.

  7. Highlight the single currency member formula, and click the Uncomment icon Uncomment icon.

    Alternatively, you can add the comment characters (/*) to the beginning and end of the member formula.

    The following screenshot shows a sample NFS_CF Accounts Receivable member formula. In the member formula, the multi-currency formula is excluded and the single currency formula is included:

  8. (Optional) To check the validity of the member formula, click Validate.

    If there are errors in the member formula, click Show Details to see a description of the problem.

  9. Click Save to save your changes and return to the Dimensions page.

  10. Repeat steps 3 – 9 for each zero-level accounts for Cash Flow that require an update.
