Setting Up the Subscription Metrics SuiteApp

Before you use the SuiteApp,complete the setup using the Administrator role or any custom role with the required permissions. For a list of required roles and permissions, see Assigning Roles and Permissions.

Prerequisites for Subscription Metrics SuiteApp

To use the SuiteApp, ensure the following requirements are met:

  • NetSuite 2025.2 or higher

  • OneWorld account

  • Enable the following features in the specific order:

    1. Advanced Billing

    2. SaaS Metrics

  • If currency conversion is required, enable the Multi-Currency and Currency Exchange Rate Type features.

To enable the required features:

  1. Go to Setup > Company > Enable Features.

  2. Click the Transactions tab.

  3. In the Billing section, check the Advanced Billing box.

  4. Click the Analytics tab.

    • In the Advanced SaaS Metrics section/Subscription Metrics, check the SaaS Metrics box.

    • Click Save.

Installing the Subscription Metrics SuiteApp

The Subscription Metrics SuiteApp is a managed SuiteApp, which automatically updates whenever there are new features or enhancements. You can install the Subscription Metrics SuiteApp from the SuiteApp Marketplace using the Administrator role.

Note:

Before installing the SuiteApp, go to Setup > Company > Enable Features and enable the SaaS Metrics feature. If this feature is not enabled, the SuiteApp will display an error message. The error message displays in English, regardless of your account’s language setting.

To install the SuiteApp:

  1. Go to SuiteApps.

  2. In the Search box, enter SaaS 360 Dashboard.

  3. Click the SuiteApp tile.

  4. Click Install.

The installation process begins. The installation of a SuiteApp may take some time. To check the installation status, see Viewing SuiteApp Installation or Uninstallation Status.

Enable SaaS Metrics on Item or Service Item Records

To track SaaS metrics for specific items or services, configure the following fields on each item or service item record.

Note:

If you have a large number of items, enable SaaS Metrics for items in small batches. This will help prevent system performance issues.

  • Track SaaS Metrics – Check this box to include items or service items recurring revenue in SaaS metrics when used in subscriptions or transactions (such as sales orders, cash sales, or invoices).

  • Sass Metrics Start Date – Enter the date when tracking for SaaS metrics should begin for this item. Only transactions or subscriptions with a start date on or after this date will be included in SaaS metrics.

  • SaaS Metrics End Date – Enter the date when tracking for SaaS metrics should end for this item. Transactions or subscriptions with a start date after this date will not be included in SaaS metrics. This information is optional.

Assigning Roles and Permissions

To let your custom roles access the SuiteApp, assign the following permissions to those roles. The following table lists the required permissions and their minimum access levels.

To assign permissions to your custom roles:

  1. Go to Setup > User/Roles > Manage Roles.

  2. Click Edit next to the role you want to assign permission to.

  3. On the Permissions subtab, assign the required permissions and set their access levels.

  4. Click Add.

  5. Click Save.
