Subscription Metrics SuiteApp Best Practices

To ensure optimal performance and accuracy with the Subscription Metrics SuiteApp, follow these best practices:

Make sure your NetSuite edition, features (Subscription Metric Reporting, Advanced Billing), and account (OneWorld) meet the SuiteApp requirements before installation.
Assign the Subscription Metric permission to roles to enable dashboard access and usage.
Enable the Subscription Metric Reporting feature and set correct start and end dates on all applicable item and service item records. If you have many items, enable subscription metrics tracking for items in small batches to help prevent system performance issues.
Set up and maintain accounting periods for all subsidiaries to ensure accurate ARR and MRR reporting.
Use dashboard filters such as subsidiary, customer, item, and others, to access the data you need.
Limit date ranges to a maximum 36 months to avoid timeouts or incomplete reports.
Review custom datasets (for example, CAC) for accuracy, naming conventions, and required columns, especially after business or system changes.
Export and check data for analysis and consistency. To see accurate data in the export, you must have access to all transactions.
Keep up with automatic updates.
Document and test any custom KPI formula changes.
Use filters to manage large data sets and avoid errors.
