When multiple address sources are available, the SuiteTax Engine evaluates them in a specific order of precedence. Understanding this order can help you identify which addresses are used on a transaction and troubleshoot unexpected shipping address results.

The Ship TO address is determined based on one of the available sources, in the following order:

• The transaction shipping address (available only in drop-ship scenarios).

• The line-level location, if available.

• The header-level location if the line-level location isn't available.

• The subsidiary shipping address if the header-level location isn't available.

• The subsidiary main address if the subsidiary shipping address isn't available.

The Ship FROM address is determined based on one of the available resources, in the following order:

• The vendor default shipping address, if available.

• The transaction billing address if the vendor default shipping address isn't available.

• The subsidiary main address if the transaction billing address isn't available.
