Setting Up Malaysia Tax Code
You must enter the appropriate Malaysia's tax code in the Malaysia Tax Code field on credit memo and invoice records. You must setup the tax code to link your NetSuite tax codes with Malaysia tax codes. If the Malaysia tax code isn't setup, you’ll see an error when e-documents are processed for credit memos and invoices.
You can also use the International Tax Reports SuiteApp to set up tax codes. For more information, see Malaysia Tax Topics.
To setup the Malaysia tax code:

Go to Setup > Accounting > Tax Codes.

Click Edit next to the tax code you use for your business in Malaysia.

From the Malaysia Tax Type list, select one of the following tax types:

High-Value Goods Tax
-
Not Applicable
-
Sales Tax
-
Sales Tax on Low Value Goods
-
Service Tax
-
Tax exemption
-
Tourism Tax
Note:The Malaysia tax types are sourced from the Malaysia tax codes custom record, which includes all Malaysia tax codes.
