Customer Sources

You can create Customer Sources to capture customer source information for customers and prospects. This field is visible in the customers list and in reports. Definition of customer sources is generally interpreted as how the customer was obtained. Examples are referral, marketing campaign, trade show, cold call, etc. If customer sources are not defined, then the field does not display on the Customer form. Customer sources may be created or inactivated at any time. Inactive customer sources do not appear as a valid selection on Customer forms. See Customers.

To define Territories, Business Types, Customer Sources or Customer Sizes:

  1. Go to Administration > Application Settings > Opportunities and select either Territories, Business types, Customer sizes, or Customer sources.

  2. Select the New entity you want to create from the Create Button.

  3. Enter the name of the particular entity value.

  4. Add Notes for the value, if desired.

  5. Click Save.
