Industries

Industries can provide you with a snapshot of which resources are suitable for a particular project. It is one of the standard Resource Profile elements predefined in SuiteProjects Pro. The Industries link only displays if you have activated this as a Resource profile option. See Resource Profile.

An Industry may involve a direct relationship such as working for a firm within the specified industry, or it may be defined indirectly such as a consultant supporting various industries. Some customers may require a certain level of industry knowledge to have employees engaged on their projects. Industries provide an additional search and reporting capability.

To create Industries:

  1. Go to Administration > Application Settings > Resources > Industries.

  2. Select New Industry from the Create Button.

  3. Type the Name of the Industry.

  4. Add Description, if desired.

  5. Check the Active Industry box.

  6. Click Save.

Note:

Industry profiles may be disabled for your account. If you would like Industries to be available in, or removed from Administration > Application Settings > Resources > Industries, contact SuiteProjects Pro Support.
