Customers (Customers) Export Workflow
The Customers (Customers) export workflow lets you create new customer records in SuiteProjects Pro first and then export them to NetSuite.
NetSuite is the primary application for customer records. Changes made to customer records in SuiteProjects Pro after the initial export are not exported to NetSuite. The Customers (Customers) export workflow can be used to create new customer records in NetSuite but not to update already integrated customer records.
You can use the Customers (Customers) import workflow to:
-
Create new customer records in NetSuite first and then import them into SuiteProjects Pro. See Employees (Employees) Import Workflow.
-
Update customer records in NetSuite and use the NetSuite <> SuiteProjects Pro integration to update the corresponding customer records in SuiteProjects Pro.
For more information, see Customers (Customers) Import Workflow.
If you use the deprecated 3–way Salesforce, SuiteProjects Pro and NetSuite integration to export customer records from SuiteProjects Pro to NetSuite, you should use the Customers (Customers) export workflow instead. See Replacing the Deprecated 3-Way Salesforce, SuiteProjects Pro and NetSuite Integration With the Customers (Customers) or Projects (Projects) Export Workflows.
For information about workflow specific settings, see Customers (Customers) Export Workflow Settings.
For information about field mapping definitions for this workflow, see Customers (Customers) Export Field Mapping Definition.
Requirements and Downstream Dependencies
Matching customer records must exist in both NetSuite and SuiteProjects Pro before you can:
-
Import projects associated with these customers from NetSuite into SuiteProjects Pro.
-
Export projects from SuiteProjects Pro to NetSuite.
-
Import contacts associated with these customers or these customers’ projects from NetSuite into SuiteProjects Pro.
