Before You Install the Recipe

You must perform the following configuration tasks on your Oracle B2C Service and Oracle Field Service Cloud instances in order to successfully connect to these external systems using Oracle Integration and synchronize incidents and resources.

Configure Oracle B2C Service

To access Oracle B2C Service using Oracle Integration and syncronize incidents and resources, you must perform certain configuration tasks on your Oracle B2C Service instance.

For general configuration tasks, see Prerequisites for Creating a Connection in Using the Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) Adapter with Oracle Integration 3.

In addition, you have to create a custom incident workspace and custom objects.

Perform the following configuration tasks on your Oracle B2C Service instance.

  1. Log in to the Oracle Service Cloud console.
  2. In the navigation menu, select Configuration, click Site Configuration, and then click Configuration Settings.
  3. In the Key field of the Configuration Settings window, enter EVENT_NOTIFICATION% and click Search.
  4. Set values for the following configuration verbs and then save the changes.
    • EVENT_NOTIFICATION_SUBSCRIBER_USERNAME (for example, weblogic)
    • EVENT_NOTIFICATION_SUBSCRIBER_PASSWD (for example, welcome1)
    • EVENT_NOTIFICATION_MAPI_USERNAME (for example, icsuser)
    • EVENT_NOTIFICATION_MAPI_PASSWD (for example, test123)
    • EVENT_NOTIFICATION_SUBSCRIBER_ENABLE ( set the value to YES)
  5. Create required custom objects.
    1. In the navigation menu, select Configuration, click Database, and then click Object Designer.
    2. In the Object Designer window, select CO from the side menu.
    3. Click New in the ribbon, and then select Menu Only Object from the drop-down menu.
    4. In the Object Summary - Edit window, enter the object name (TimeSlot) in the Name field, and click Add under Menu Object Options.
    5. Click Save.
    6. Repeat steps a to e to create another custom object (ReminderTime).
  6. Bind the newly created TimeSlot and ReminderTime custom objects to the incident workspace.
    1. In the Object Designer window, expand the CO from the side menu and select Incident.
    2. In the Objects Fields - Edit window, click the Add New Field button, and then select Menu.
    3. In Field Details window, enter the name in the Name field.
    4. In the Menu field, select the required menu object (CO.TimeSlot2) from the drop-down list.
    5. Save and deploy the object designer.
    6. Repeat steps a to e to add the CO.ReminderTime menu object.

Configure Oracle Field Service Cloud

To connect to Oracle Field Service Cloud from Oracle Integration, you must perform certain configurations tasks. See Prerequisites for Creating a Connection in Using the Oracle Field Service Cloud Adapter with Oracle Integration 3.
