Configure the Oracle HCM Daily Outbound Integration to HireRight
You must configure the Oracle HCM Daily Outbound Integration to HireRight (ORCL_HCM_LCNSVLDTN_HRRGHT_DAILY_ROSTER) integration flow to run the HCM Extract daily so as to generate a file containing only deltas from the previous run.
You can extract the following employee information:
- Basic details of the employee such as Person Number, First Name, Last Name, Person Email Address, Phone Number, and Home Address.
- Any licenses and certifications associated to the job assigned to the employee.
- Any licenses and certifications associated to the position assigned to the employee.
The following high-level steps are required to configure the Oracle HCM Initial Outbound Integration to HireRight integration flow:
Configure the Oracle HCM Cloud Instance Extract
- Log in to the Oracle HCM Cloud instance.
- Navigate to Manage HCM Extract Definitions.
From the Fusion Navigation menu, and then from My Client Groups, select the Data Exchange application. Under HCM Extracts, select Extract Definitions or Setup and Maintenance, and then select Manage HCM Extract Definitions.
- On the Extract Definitions page, click Import.
- Enter the extract name and upload the extract file.
- Click OK, then click OK again.
- Next click Edit to the newly created extracted.
- Select Extract Execution Tree and click Compile All Formula.
- Refresh the screen and make sure all the fast formula status show passed status.
- Click Export XML Schema to download the .xsd file.
- Click Save and Close.
Note:
The HCM Extract used for the daily integration is different than the Initial Extract definition used in the previous integration. The daily integration will fail if you use the Initial Extract definition.Submit an Extract
You have to submit the HCM Extract in order to configure the Oracle HCM Daily Outbound Integration to HireRight integration flow in Oracle Integration. The integration will use this submitted extraction for fetching data while running.
- From the Fusion Navigation menu, and then from My Client Groups, select the Data Exchange application. Under HCM Extracts, select Submit Extract.
- Search for the extract with its name.
- Click the extract.
- Enter the extract instance name and select the effective date.
- Click Submit.
This will execute the one-time HCM Extract of all valid employees for monitoring
Schedule Extract Submission
You must schedule an extract submission to fetch the new data per the required frequency for running the Oracle HCM Daily Outbound Integration to HireRight integration flow in Oracle Integration.
- From the Fusion Navigation menu, and then from My Client Groups, select the Data Exchange application. Under HCM Extracts, select Submit Extract.
- Search for the extract with its name.
- Click the extract.
- Enter the extract instance name and select the effective date.
- Select the required frequency for extract submission, and select the start and end date.
Note:
Although you can set any value as minimum frequency, the best practice is to use the extractsubmission frequency as greater than or equal to daily. The recommended value is daily. This should be agreed with your EverCheck implementation specialist.Update Integration Properties
You can update the integration properties with appropriate values based on your environment and business rules.
- In the Integrations section, click Actions
on the ORCL_HCM_LCNSVLDTN_HRRGHT_DAILY_ROSTER integration flow, then select Update property values.
- In the Update property values panel, update the integration properties with appropriate values.
- EmailTo: This integration property holds the email address of the individual or distribution group to which error notifications are to be sent.
- RetryCount: This integration property holds the number of retries for an individual record to be written to HireRight before an error is declared and written to the exception log. The default value is 2.
- Click Submit.
A message confirms that the integration properties have been updated.
Update Schedule Parameters
You can update the following parameters with appropriate values based on your environment and business rules.
- In the Integrations section, click the ORCL_HCM_LCNSVLDTN_HRRGHT_DAILY_ROSTER integration flow to open it.
- On the integration canvas, click the Schedule action and select Edit.
- Update the following parameters with appropriate values.
Field Information to Enter hr-API-key Enter the value for this field. See Configure HireRight. hr-company-login Enter the value for this field. hr-user-ref-id Enter the value for this field. hr-API-version Enter the value for this field hr_MonitoringId Enter the value for this field hr_Monitoringname Enter the value for this field lastDocumentID The default value is 0. Enter a value, otherwise it gets automatically updated to reflect the value in UCM in the first run of the integration. - Click Save.
Leave the rest of the values in the Schedule action as is since they're referenced throughout the recipe.
Change the Extract Configuration
To ensure that the appropriate HCM extract is linked to this recipe, perform the following:
- In the Integrations section, click the ORCL_HCM_LCNSVLDTN_HRRGHT_DAILY_ROSTER integration flow to open it.
- On the integration canvas, click the Invoke element HCMExtract and select Edit from the menu.
- Click Operations and update the integration name. The integration name should be same as the name added in the HCM Extract while configuring the Oracle HCM Cloud instance extract in Oracle HCM Cloud.
- Click Done.
- Save the integration.
