Clone a Project

You can clone a project for consumption by other teams that require access to similar integration, robot, B2B, decision, and healthcare resources. When you clone a business accelerator project, you can convert it to another business accelerator project or to a developer project to gain full control over its resources.

Note the following project cloning behavior:
  • Project deployments are cloned.
  • Runtime data visible under the Observe tab is not cloned.
  • Role-based access control (RBAC) settings are not cloned.
  • All cloned connections are in a draft state with no connection property or security information defined.
  1. In the navigation pane, click Projects.
  2. Hover over the row of the project to clone.
  3. Click Actions Actions icon, then select Clone.

    The Clone project panel opens.

  4. Enter a name, unique identifier, optional keyword, and optional description.
  5. If you are cloning a business accelerator project, the Clone as section is displayed.
    1. Select an option based on your business requirements:
      This Option... Enables You To ...
      Accelerator Create a cloned business accelerator project with the following capabilities:
      • Labeled as an Accelerator in the Type column.
      • Retains its business accelerator capabilities.
      • Can be extended (customized).
      • Can be updated without losing your extensions when a newer version of the business accelerator is installed.
      Developed project Create a cloned developer project with the following capabilities:
      • Labeled as a Developer in the Type column.
      • Is completely decoupled from the original business accelerator.
      • Cannot be extended.
      • Cannot be updated when a newer version of the business accelerator project is installed.
    2. In the Tag field, enter a name. This name is appended to the end of the original business accelerator name and identifier.
  6. Click Clone.

    A message appears indicating your cloning request was submitted.

  7. Click Refresh Refresh icon.

    Over time, accelerators can be updated and newer versions published to the Integration Store. For cloned business accelerators or extended accelerators, you can install the latest updates directly from the Projects page.

  8. Hover over the cloned business accelerator or extended accelerator project, and click Actions Actions icon, then Get latest to install any updates.

    Note that the original business accelerator from which you created the cloned accelerator cannot be updated from the Actions Actions icon menu and does not include a Get latest option. To update that version, you must instead go directly to the Integration Store.
