New API to Split Assets by Units

Split Asset APIs enable lease administrators to split multiple leased assets by units in a single revision transaction.

When you split an asset line by units, you can choose to split the asset line either into individual units, or to split the original number of units into two parts. For example, you can split an asset line with ten units into ten asset lines, each containing one unit, or you could split the asset line into two asset lines: one with four units, the other with six units.

This capability improves operational efficiency and ensures lease contracts are adjusted promptly in response to asset location changes or contract amendments.

Prior to Release 12.2.15, you were able to split assets by units manually through the Split Asset Revisions page.

Use the enhanced Split Asset APIs to:

  • Split one or more assets within a contract by units. (OKL_SPLIT_ASSET_API_PUB.split_assets_by_contract)
  • Split one or more assets across multiple contracts by units. (OKL_SPLIT_ASSET_API_PUB.split_assets_by_batch)

For more details about the Split Asset API, refer to the Lease Management public APIs listed in the Financials > Lease Management section in the Integration Repository.

From the Navigator menu, select the Integrated SOA Gateway responsibility and then click the Integration Repository link to open the Oracle Integration Repository.
