Configure Descriptive Flexfields on Serialized Leased Asset Units

Configure descriptive flexfields to capture additional information when creating serialized leased asset units.

Lessors often need to capture additional customized information specific to their leased assets, such as IMEI numbers, third-party system asset identifiers or other relevant data. These flexfields enable lessors to track and manage leased asset units more effectively by including information that is not covered by standard fields. This is crucial for monitoring leased assets, making informed business decisions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Prior to Release 12.2.15, you could configure descriptive flexfields for the leased asset but not for the individual serialized units.

To capture additional information for serialized leased asset units:

  1. Create a lease contract and add a serialized asset.
  2. Select Update Serial Numbers on the Configuration tab.
  3. Add serial numbers and save.
  4. Select Update and click on Additional Information.
  5. Select the context for serialized lease units and enter additional information.
