Installing Host Drivers

Before installing the host drivers, you need to install the supported Oracle Solaris OS on the server and you must have root permissions to install the host drivers. After the host driver installation, booting the server is not required as the drivers are immediately loaded into memory.

Note -  Starting with Oracle Solaris 11.3, the host drivers are integrated into the kernel. Therefore, the procedure for installing the host drivers for Oracle Solaris 11.3 host varies from the other Oracle Solaris releases. For information, see Install Host Drivers for Oracle Solaris 11.3.

These topics describe the process of uninstalling the host drivers.
