3.25 Manage Scheduler Jobs

Use the Manage Scheduler page to create new jobs, manage jobs, view the execution history, and to review the activities that were executed in the past 24 hours.

Review Last 24 hour Activity

Use the Review Dashboard section to view the history of the Running Jobs, Executed Jobs, and Failed Jobs in the past 24 hours.

The following table describes the UI options shown in the Review last 24 hour activity section for Running Jobs , Executed Jobs, and Failed Jobs pages:

Element Description
Search Select one or more of the following search conditions to list the history of the job details:
  • Name: Enter the name of the job that you want to search.
  • Status: Search the job status that is applicable for the job search.
    The following are the types of status:
    • Running
    • Success
    • Interrupted
    • Failed
    • All
  • Start Time With: Select the time duration from the drop-down applicable for the search.
  • Search Click Search. The list of jobs that match your search criteria are displayed in a tabular format.
Search Filter Select any of the filter options to sort the search results:
  • Expand and Collapse Select the expand or collapse arrow keys to expand and collapse the search results.
  • Refresh Job: Select to refresh the search results.
Running Job Search Results
Job Name Displays the name of the scheduler job. You can expand this option to view the job milestone details.
Start Time Displays the start date and time of when the job started to run last.
End Time Displays the end date and time of when the job stopped running.
Duration Display the time duration for completion of the job.
Status Display the status of the job execution.

Jobs

Use the Jobs tab of the Manage Scheduler page to view, edit, run, delete, or disable the job.
Element Description
Jobs
Search Select one or more of the following search conditions to view the job details:
  • Name: Enter the name of the job that you want to search.
  • Template: Enter the template name which is the name of the scheduled task that you want to search.
  • Status: Select the job status that is applicable for the search.
    The following are the types of status:
    • Stopped
    • Running
    • All
Search Text Click to perform the search and display the results in a tabular format.
Sort By Choose any one of the following sort options:
  • Expand and CollapseExpand and Collapse: Choose the expand and collapse arrows to either expand or collapse the job list.
  • Name, Template, or Status: To sort the list of jobs displayed, select either the job name, template name, or the status of the job from the drop-down list.
  • Refresh: Click to refresh the list.
  • Ascending or Descending: Select the arrow keys to sort the order of the job listed in either ascending or descending.
Job Search Result
View Job Details You can expand the job details to view the following details of the job:
  • Name: Displays the name of the job.
  • Template Name: Displays the template name.
  • Execution Details: Displays the execution details.
  • Start Time: Displays the start date and time of the selected scheduled job.
  • Application Instance Name: Displays the name of the application.

    Note:

    This parameter value is specific to the type of job. This value can change with the selected job.
  • Mode: Displays the mode.
  • Batch Size: Displays the batch size.
Action Select the following action menu options to perform the following operations:
  • Edit Job: : Click to edit or view the job details.
  • Run Job : Click to run the scheduled job.

    Note:

    If the job is already running, then the Stop icon is displayed.
  • Del Job : Click to delete the job.
  • Enable or Disable Job : Click to set the status of the job to either enable or disable.

Edit or View the Job Details

Use the Edit option in the Jobs tab to edit the job details.

Element Description
Edit Job Information
Template Displays the name of the scheduled task that runs the job.

Note:

You cannot edit this field.
Retries Enter the retry count for the job.
Schedule Type

Select one of the following schedule types:

  • Periodic: Select this option if you want the job to be run at a time that you specify, on a repeating basis.
  • Single: Select this option if the job is to be run only once at the specified start date and time.
  • None: This option specifies that no schedule is attached to the job you are creating, and therefore, it is not triggered automatically.
  • Sub Types: This option provides the sub category type.
Sub Types Displays the sub category types for the job.
Start Time Displays the date and time on which you want the job to run.
Interval Type Select the interval frequency from the following drop-down options:
  • Minutes
  • Hours
  • Days
  • Weeks
  • Months
  • Yearly
Minutes Enter the minutes by with the scheduled job needs to be run.
Beneficiary
Select the type of beneficiary from the list:
  • User Login
  • Role Name
  • Specified Address
Send To Enter the beneficiary details.
Save Click to save the details.
Action
Select one of the following available drop-down options to execute the job:
  • Execute: Select to execute and run the job.
  • Enable: Select to enable the job.
  • Reset: Select to reset the job details.

Job Execution Details

Use the Job Execution tab to view the details of the job execution.

Element Description
Search Select any one or more of the following search conditions to view the job details:
  • Name: Enter the name of the job that you want to search.
  • Status: Select the job status that is applicable for the search.
    The following are the types of status:
    • Stopped
    • Running
    • All
  • Start Within: Select the start time from the available drop-down.
Search Text Click to perform the search and display the results in a tabular format.
Sort By Choose any one of the following sort options:
  • Expand and CollapseExpand and Collapse: Choose the expand and collapse arrows to either expand or collapse the job list.
  • Refresh: Click to refresh the list.
Job Search Result
View Job Details You can expand the job details to view the following details of the job:
  • Name: Displays the name of the job.
  • Start Time: Displays the start date and time of the selected scheduled job.
  • End Time: Displays the end date and time of the job execution.
  • Duration: Displays the job duration.
  • Status: Displays the job status..

Create Job

Use the Create Job option to create a new job.

Element Description
Name Enter the name of the job that you wan to create.
Template Enter the name of the template for the job.
Retries Enter the retry count for the job.
Parameters

Note:

The Parameters are dynamic and changes depending on the type of job template you have chosen.
Flat File Path Enter the path of CSV file for seeding metadata or directory path containing XML for seeding technical glossary.
Batch Size Enter the size of the batch.
Thread Size Enter the Thread size.
Mode Enter the mode.
Failed Notification
Beneficiary Select the type of beneficiary from the list:
  • User Login
  • Role Name
  • Specified Address
Send To Enter the beneficiary details.
Schedule
Schedule Type Select one of the following schedule types:
  • Periodic: Select this option if you want the job to be run at a time that you specify, on a repeating basis.

Create and Run Now Click to create and run the job now.
Create Click to create the job.
Cancel Click cancel to cancel the job creation.
